National Museum Exhibition: Astro Links’ Craftsmanship in Action

Astro Links was honoured to be entrusted by the National Museum, New Delhi, with the fabrication and production of the special exhibition “Vessels of Light: Iconography, Relics and Path of Dhamma – Shakyamuni Buddha’s Journey through Museum Collections of India”, presented at the Gandantegchenling Monastery in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Curated by the National Museum, New Delhi, the exhibition brings together significant narratives and objects relating to the life of Lord Buddha, Buddhist iconography, relic traditions and the spread of the Dhamma, drawing upon collections from leading cultural institutions across India.

As part of its assigned scope, Astro Links undertook the fabrication and production of exhibition components, including museum-quality replicas and reproductions created for display, as well as the printing and production of exhibition panels and graphic elements. The work required meticulous attention to detail to ensure that the visual character and historical significance of the original objects were accurately represented for an international audience.

The project reflects Astro Links’ continued expertise in museum fabrication and replica-making, areas in which the firm has worked extensively with museums, heritage institutions and cultural organisations across India. Through careful craftsmanship and production, the exhibition was able to communicate the richness of India’s Buddhist heritage while ensuring high standards of presentation suitable for an international venue.

The acknowledgement panel of the exhibition credits Astro Links for Exhibition Fabrication and Printing, recognising the firm’s contribution to the successful realisation of this important cultural presentation. Astro Links is proud to have supported the National Museum, New Delhi, in sharing India’s Buddhist legacy with audiences in Mongolia and further strengthening the longstanding cultural ties between the two nations.
