Astro Links is thrilled to introduce the Textile Gallery at the Crafts Museum, New Delhi. This new gallery is a vibrant celebration of India’s rich textile heritage. It showcases the country’s diverse traditions and innovations in textile art.

Visitors can explore this gallery at the National Crafts Museum and Hastkala Academy (NCMHKA) in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. They can also visit other fascinating galleries within the museum. While the Textile Gallery is open to all, it offers a particularly valuable experience for textile professionals, students, and enthusiasts. The gallery has an extensive collection. It provides a deep insight into the craftsmanship and creativity that have shaped Indian textiles over centuries.
The Indian Textiles Gallery II is a tribute to the dynamic nature of textile traditions. It demonstrates how they have evolved and adapted over time. These traditions show regional differences and modern influences. It features an impressive range of textile genres, each piece painstakingly crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
A key feature of this gallery is its use of advanced museum display techniques to enhance the visitor experience. The gallery employs innovative lighting systems, including specially designed LED lights with sensors and dimmers, to protect the textiles while highlighting their fine details and textures. Additionally, custom display units elegantly showcase the vintage pieces, ensuring they are both well-protected and prominently visible. This careful and thoughtful presentation allows visitors to fully appreciate the beauty and historical significance of each textile on display.
Astro Links is proud to have played a key role in bringing this remarkable gallery to life. We contributed from the initial concept through to its final execution.
